Do you know why one type of skin pigmentation varies from another in appearance? Beyond age spots and freckles, there are many other reasons why skin pigmentation occurs.

FRECKLES.

 They are flat circular spots that are usually tan or light brown and 
color more often seen among people with lighter skin tone. They may develop randomly on the skin especially on areas that are repeatedly exposed to the Sun. They are oval in shape and size varies from freckle size to a 13 millimeter.                                                             

SANBORN PIGMENTATION.
 
They are darker and more irregular in appearances compared to freckles people with lighter skin tones are more prone to sunspots areas of the face with higher sun exposure like cheek, cheekbones, the nose is more likely to develop sun spots melasma, or chloasma characterized by a butterfly-shaped mark it is a type of hyperpigmentation which is more prevalent among people with darker skin tone. Patchy brown discoloration spreads across certain parts of the face typically appears across the upper cheeks. However other areas such as the forehead, upper lip, and chin also may be affected.
POST ACNE PIGMENTATION.

There are two types, the first marks are reddish in color, and these are caused by broken 
blood capillaries, that have yet to be healed. The second 'mark switch are darkened color results from all production of melanin in reaction to skin inflammation.
POST-INFLAMMATORY PIGMENTATION.
It is a condition in which there is an 
increased production of color pigment 
due to an injury or inflammation to the skin. It occurs to wounds on the face these wounds may develop from razor cuts, burns, or squeezing infected pimples
